Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Cup(s) dry white wine
3 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
5 Ounces cubed gruyere cheese
3 Ounces cubed white cheddar or additional gruyere cheese
2 Teaspoon corn starch
1/8 Teaspoon ground nutmeg
salt and black pepper
Directions
Rub the interior of a saucepan with the garlic and discard the clove pieces. Heat the wine and lemon juice for one minute. Add the cheeses and stir, heating for approximately 3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch and seasonings and cook 3 minutes longer, stirring - until fully melted. Serve in a fondue pot. Use all gruyere cheese instead of cheddar if you desire a less mild, more traditional french flavor.
