Apple Pockets
Simple, individual apple pies add a special touch to any dinner.
Ingredients
3 apples, peeled and diced
2 Tablespoon(s) sugar
2 Tablespoon(s) flour
1 Pinch(s) salt
1/2 Teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon(s) nutmeg
1 Teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1 refrigerated pie crust
1 milk
1 beaten egg
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, toss the apples, sugar, flour, and seasonings. Cut small circles into crust, about three per layer. Lay crust flat on a greased baking sheet. Pile the mixture, leaving atleast a one inch border. Brush the border with milk. Folde the circle over the apples, making a half moon shape. Pinch the edges together to seal. Cut slits in the top. Brush with the beaten egg.
Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until golden.
Serve warm with ice cream and caramel sauce, if desired.
