Caramel Puff Corn
2 - 5 oz. Bags of Old Dutch
"Puff Corn Curls"
1/2 1b. Butter - not Margarine
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
Place Corn Curls in a large roasting pan.
In a 2 qt. sauce pan cook butter, sugar, and
corn syrup together for 2 minutes. Add 1 tsp.
baking soda to mixture. This will cause mixture
to foam, so a 2 qt. pan is necessary
Pour caramel mixture over corn curls and stir until
mixed. Place in 250 degree oven for 45 minutes.
Stir at least every 10 - 15 minutes. Remove from
oven and pour on waxed paper. Break apart
when cool.
